FA CHARTER STANDARD LEAGUE UPDATE

The haart of Kent County League is pleased to advise that that 78 of our 83 teams play for FA Charter Standard Clubs. Our congratulations are offered to the clubs that have achieved the award this season, Swale United, Erith 147 Sports, APM Contrast, Sheppey United, Otford United, Sutton Athletic, Hadlow Evolution, Tenterden Town, Platt United, Greenhill, Hildenborough Athletic, Halstead, Guru Nanak, Lanes End and Tudor Sports.

The five clubs still to achieve CS status have submitted or are well advanced in the application process and we await confirmation of their awards from the London FA.

The League congratulate all member clubs for their progress to date and look forward to all of the clubs achieving the FA Charter Standard award a year ahead of the original target.

The League Historian John Weller is now working with the Non-League Football Matters website to feature detailed league tables for the Kent County League.

Non-League Football Matters opened in 2009 as an independent football history information site about non-league soccer in England. The site features leagues history from the Football Conference down throughout the pyramid and beyond, including leagues no longer operating. Recently the site has listed current fixtures, results and tables for a number of leagues including the haart of kent county league.

Club Annual Health Check

In October 2011 all Kent FA Charter Standard Clubs were issued with their unique and pre-populated 2011/12 FA Charter Standard Annual Health Check.

Carrying out this process annually allows clubs to review and track the validity of their voluntary workforce in relation to coach education and welfare.

All FA Charter Standard Clubs (unless accredited after 1 July 2011) are required to complete and return their Health Check Form to the Kent FA by 31 March 2012.

DECEMBER MANAGER OF THE MONTH

The award for the Eastern Section was made on Saturday, 15th January when Cyril Windiate presented the award to Danny Smithof University of Kent FC.

The Premier Division and Western Section awards were presented on Saturday 7th January by League Chairman Cyril Windiate.

The Premier Division winner is Andy Douglas of Fleet Leisure FC.

In the Western Section Tony Almeida of Bridon Ropes Reserves FC received his second consecutive monthly award.

Situations Vacant

Clubs continue to look to add to both their playing and coaching staffs, latests requests are from Broadstairs FC who are looking to appoint a reserve team manager, Chipstead FC who are seeking new players, Seven Acre & Sidcup FC are looking to add players to their squads and have a pitch for hire, Bexlians FC who are looking for a goal keeper to add to their squad and Snodland FC who are seeking players in all positions.

CLUB PROGRAMMES

League newcomers Deal Town Rangers FC are producing a match programme titled “The Hoopster” and on the cover they highlight their progress from two mini soccer teams in 1993 to today when they have 16 teams from U7’s to their adult team.

The A5 programme has 20 pages and is designed and printed by Club Chairman Stuart McCluskey. Content includes comprehensive first team statistics and match reports together with plenty of information on the club’s other teams. It also features visitor information, player profiles and a “Halftime Brainbasher” quiz!

Priced at £1.00 any visitor to Deal Town Rangers should ensure they get their copy.
